String Quartet Con Brio was selected as a top wedding professional according to The Knot Best of Weddings 2012.

What do four local musicians from the New England area, Minnesota, Texas and Colorado have in common? 

They share a love and passion for chamber music.  Founded in 1983, String Quartet Con Brio performs music in Northern Colorado for audiences with a wide variety of musical preferences.  Their individual musical journeys have allowed them to play both internationally and in many locations throughout the United States. 

In addition, as individual performers they have participated in performances with Manhattan Transfer, Mannheim Steamroller, Trisha Yearwood, James Taylor, Zuill Baily, and Colorado's own Eugene Fodor, to name just a few.  While it is common to associate classically trained musicians with composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Dvorak, and the like, these musicians are also comfortable performing the jazzy music of Gershwin, Joplin, Scott, and Porter, as well as the rock music of favorites such as Coldplay, Beatles, Rascal Flatts, and Journey.

Wondering where our next public performance will be??

Currently, you can find this classy quartet performing at weddings, receptions, award nights, banquets, holiday parties, corporate functions and other special events in Northern Colorado, and at various locations in downtown Fort Collins as part of Streetmosphere.  If you look carefully, you can find at least one of us in the string sections of the Fort Collins Symphony, Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, or Cheyenne Symphony, as well as other small groups such as Chambermade, Ethos West, Larimer Chorale, Fort Collins Music Festival and Laudamus Chamber Chorale.
