
Sue Temple,
business manager, is the violist and an original member of String
Quartet Con Brio. Performing in the Front Range area
since 1976, she has played extensively with the Ft. Collins Symphony
and Greeley Philharmonic Orchestras and continues to perform as
a free-lance musician throughout Colorado. In addition, Sue has
maintained an active private studio for 30 years and currently
coaches strings and chamber music at Fort Collins High School.
Her students have won top prizes in various Concerto Competitions
and have been selected to perform in the master classes of violists
Jesse Levine, Simon Rowland-Jones and the Cavani and Alexander
String Quartets. As an active advocate for the viola, Sue has
co-chaired the annual Viva La Viola! Day event for the past five
years. She has also been a guest clinician, adjudicator, chamber
music coach and rehearsal technician for pre college students
in the Northern Colorado area. Originally from the New England
area, Sue received her bachelor’s degree in Music with an
emphasis in Performance from Bennington College in Vermont and
a second Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Therapy from Colorado
State University.
