
Cellist Elizabeth Wells has played in a
variety of string quartets and symphony orchestras throughout
her performing career that include the Juniper String Quartet,
the String Quartet Fantastique, the Denver Chamber Orchestra,
and the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra. Currently, she is a member
of the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, the Cheyenne Symphony
Orchestra, the String Quartet Con Brio, and the
Alpine String Quartet. Beth is in her 21st year of teaching orchestra
in the public schools. This fall she began her first year as director
of orchestras at Rocky Mountain High School in the Poudre School
District in Fort Collins, Colorado. Previously she taught junior
high orchestra in Poudre School District and in Kansas. Her orchestras
have been invited to perform at the Colorado Music Educators Clinic/Conference
four times since 1998. Ms. Wells has guest conducted in Jefferson
County, Colorado and been an adjudicator and clinician for orchestra
festivals and contests in northern Colorado and Wyoming. Beth
received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the Lamont
School of Music, University of Denver, where she studied with
'cellist Richard Slavich.
